From the mountains to the sea. We will all be free.
There isn't a single place on Earth that hasn't been photographed. So why bother taking photos of landscapes anymore? Someone has already shot something beautiful (or ugly) from that exact location. Maybe even from the exact same angle.
But we don't live our lives through other people. We live for ourselves. And even the most common spots on the planet change. Light, time of day, weather, it all creates a unique moment in time. And if we are lucky enough to be there for something special (or just capture the ordinary), we can express our voice and our vision.
But perhaps the most important reason why I love shooting landscapes is that when you stand in front of an impressive mountain or a flowing river, I feel a connection to the planet, and to the past and present.
